The browser locks when the app leaves the foreground. Returning brings you to the password screen, with pages and browsing records kept out of view until you unlock.

Your records stay on your device

No app account, advertising SDK, developer analytics, or cloud sync. App records and downloads in protected space are encrypted using a key protected by your password.

Website data uses separate system containers and the device sandbox. Protected space does not hide your IP address or make you anonymous to websites.
